Bibles for China
WILL YOU ANSWER THEIR PRAYER AND PUT A BIBLE IN THEIR HANDS?
Several house churches sent out youth groups, trained by Bible League, to reach others for Christ.
“In less than seven days, there were 1,063 people who received the Lord,” says Bible League’s ministry director for China. “Praise the Lord! Bibles provided by Bible League partners arrived just in time for the churches to place them immediately so the new Christians would not be misled by cults.”
WHAT IS CHINA’S GREATEST NEED? Bibles
There are as many as 100 million Christians in China, with on average, more than 9,000 new believers added every day.
God is growing His Church rapidly in China. But it’s estimated that more than half the Christians don’t have a Bible of their own. They are not readily available in the isolated, rural areas, where 80 percent of China’s Christians live. Fewer can afford one. Some house churches, particularly in rural areas, only have 1 or 2 Bibles for every 100 believers.
Will you accept the challenge today and help fill the ‘Bible Gap’ by sending Bibles to fellow believers in China?
“When a seed has sun, it grows. When people are saved, their spirits begin to grow, and they need spiritual food. They need the Bible. Without it, their spirits may die.”—Zhang, a Chinese believer
Over and over, Christians in China plead, “…pray for us—and send us Bibles.”
“… so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
FACTS: THE CHURCH IN CHINA
Q. Does the Chinese government allow Bibles to be printed or made available?
A. Yes.
Q. What is the result of the massive Bible shortage?
A. The Church will not be equipped or strengthened.
Believers cannot apply God’s Word to their lives.
Leaders cannot instruct or disciple.
Millions are led away by false teaching without the anchor for faith.
Q. How does Bible League provide Bibles?
A. We support ministry done through low-key, local networks of couriers and church workers. Even some Scripture products must reflect a need for secrecy, which is why there is always a demand for pocket-sized versions of the Bible. As one of the consistent, larger suppliers of Scriptures to China’s house churches for many years, Bible League trains local Christians to strategically place Bibles where needed most.
Q. What is China’s greatest need?

“When Christians live from day to day in a world that hates and persecutes them, it makes a person feel hopeless. But, when in the midst of that despair, a believer receives a Bible from someone who lives in a free country, suddenly this Christian feels a rushing sense of hope! This Bible says that someone out there cares about the hatred and persecution I experience everyday. I am part of the Body of Christ that really cares about me!”—Chinese believer
“During the Cultural Revolution, all Chinese [people] were forced to study Mao’s book—day and night. Mao’s book sounded good but couldn’t change peoples’ lives. Our Bibles, combined with Bible studies, are helping new Christians understand that God’s Word is not theory but the power of God to change their lives.”—Bible League’s Ministry Director for China
